Ook nieuwe soorten tweekleppigen, heremietkreeften, krabben, stekelhuidigen en inktvissen behoren tot de buit en worden hier voorgesteld. Eens te meer voldoende bewijs dat het nog steeds loont om Krijtfossielen uit de omgeving van Maastricht te verzamelen en te bestuderen. Daarnaast stelt het <em>Maastrichtian Geoheritage Project<\/em>, dat door de Vrije Universiteit Brussel, de KU Leuven, Natuurmonumenten en het Natuurhistorisch Museum Maastricht wordt gedragen, ons nu in staat deze vondsten op een meer nauwkeurige manier te dateren en in te hangen in het grotere beeld van Europa en de wereld tijdens het Late Krijt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
