Professor Andy Gale is a specialist on the Cretaceous. Since 2007 he is a full Professor in Geology, at the University of Portsmouth, UK. He has published over 200 articles relating to chalk stratigraphy, sedimentology and palaeontology. Andy has a particular interest in the chalk successions of northwestern Europe. He has also worked on establishing the Anthropocene as a formal Epoch.
